Keith Brymer Jones – Egg Cup Set of 4 – what came first…

It follows Keith’s design philosophy: ‘to create simple yet stylish products which are pleasing to the eye, practical in the modern home and, above all, make people happy!’ What a lovely thought from our master potter. In 2008, Keith Brymer Jones joined MAKE International Limited as Director and Head of Design. He has since continuously expanded his ever popular Word Range. In addition, he has brought to life many new collaborative ceramic collections. Keith has worked with both British & International designers, illustrators and creators.

In 2012, Keith released his autobiography titled “A Boy in a China Shop: Life, Clay and Everything”. Keith has had a roller coaster of a journey to where he is now. The book starts with a ball of clay and takes you to places like London, Stoke-on-Trent, Kent, China & Wales. He subsequently went on a joyful book tour around the UK to a sell-out crowd. Twice!

The design stage of each new product and the perfect prototype starts on Keith’s potter’s wheel in his UK studio. The full production then takes place in China. Unquestionably, a country with a deep-rooted history in expert ceramic production. Keith works closely with a team of highly skilled craftsmen to perfect the delicate production process. So they ensure each mug, bowl or jug matches the same style and high quality of his original design. Keith is proud to manufacture his ceramic ranges responsibly in China. In light of this, he has made a fun video to let everyone know here. It is Keith’s dream to bring production home to the UK. Fingers crossed; this dream may not be too far away!
